Speak Up! Speak Out!

On Wednesday 4 February, 13 Year 9 students attended the Speak Up! Speak Out! Event at the University of Surrey.  The students were required to reflect on the issue of discrimination and use their ideas to write their own spoken word poems.  The highlight of the day came when they were able to perform their pieces to camera in the University’s Music and Media studio in from of industry-standard television cameras and sound equipment.

Each and every student engaged with all elements of the programme, behaved impeccably and all benefited greatly as a result; it was a fantastic day and both Mrs Fox and Mr Radford were extremely proud of them.
