GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Year 9 Options 2026

Options Booklet

The options booklet includes detailed information about all the courses, including how they are assessed, and which topics are covered. 

The full booklet will be published on 21 January 2026

Options Evening

The slides from Thursday 22 January will be available here, following options evening.

Making Options Choices

All students will need to choose:

  • One subject from the directed curriculum.

  • Three subjects from the options curriculum. You should put these in order of preference. Some students will choose two subjects from the options curriculum and will also have extra numeracy and literacy lesons in Years 10 & 11, to support their GCSE and Level 2 courses. 

  • One reserve choice. 

Check for subjects that have a combination clash. These are identified in the options booklet.

You will make your choices during your 1-2-1 options meeting. This will take place in February 2026
