Ideas of what to include in the card or letter could be writing about your experience of COVID-19, your plans for the future, books or TV shows you enjoy, and tips on passing the time. Once completed students should simply sign off with their name and ‘from Merstham Park’

This week's challenge is a community focused challenge. As many of you will know, as a community school, we work with the Coppice Lea care home to enrich the lives of their residents through the Arts.Your child should create a card or letter to send to a resident at the care home

This week's challenge is related to the upcoming Victory in Europe Day (VE) day. You should create a poem to commemorate and remember this day. The following link will provide you with some background knowledge on what VE Day represents: https://t.co/JcOVLLc2b2

Come and see why you should choose our school - we have much to look forward to

Our students produce fantastic work - from performing arts to sports - and we want to share with you all the reasons to join our school community.

As we head to the end of our first year, we can reflect on the first chapter of our story and look forward to welcoming new students joining us to continue adding to life both inside and outside the classroom.

We have so much to look forward to, from our first annual art exhibition on July 1, to the continued support for our after-school sports clubs. And we also hope to build on the fantastic relationships we have with the residents of a local nursing home who we have been working with on a successful art project.

Our school is student-centred and we promote family identity and values while we aim to develop quality partnerships to enhance effective learning for our students and success for all members of our community.

Our students will be equipped with the tenacity to pursue their dreams and ambitions, to deal with tomorrow’s world and thrive beyond the classroom.

Our open evenings for 2020 entry will be on Thursday June 20 from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. with talks by Headteacher Martin Beard at 5.45 p.m., 6.30 p.m., 7.15 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.

Parents and carers of Year 5 pupils who would like to attend can confirm by emailing info@mersthamparkschool.org
