Year 7 Form Tutors

You will be in one of six different form groups when you start at Merstham Park – students within each Tutor group will be placed into a House.  A Form Tutor leads each form group and you will see your Form Tutor during ITP lessons.  Your Form Tutor is there to help you to settle into Merstham Park, be the key contact for your parents/carers and will help you with any problems that you may have.

Learning Mentors - LMs

The Learning Mentors support the HoP and LMT to ensure that your transition to Merstham Park is smooth and once you are here in September they will support you to ensure you have no worries or concerns, and to make sure you settle in well. They will also support within lessons throughout the school day.

Heads of House - HoH

The HoH work very closely with the HoP and Form Tutors to support you during your time at Merstham Park and will hold House Assemblies and events for you to be able to participate within throughout each term.

Our House System is designed to support your studies and provide additional challenge and opportunity to participate as a team – it will provide competitive competition culminating in the awarding of our House Shield to the winning team at the end of the academic year.

Head of Personalisation - HoP

The Head of Personalisation will lead provision on SEND and co-ordinate HoH and form tutors for Year 7 to ensure all students receive a positive and warm reception to life at Merstham Park School. Parents and Carers should contact our HoP if they have any questions relating to their child’s transition to MPS.

Leadership and Management Team - LMT

During the transition period, members of the Leadership and Management Team will be supporting you alongside your Form Tutor, Head of House and the Head of Personalisation. A member of MPS will visit you in your primary school prior to joining us in September. We look forward to meeting you at this point.
