Today, Year 8 students provided their view on change starts with us in support of Anti-bullying. Here’s one view: I think change starts with us means that people are going to change their ways and support others if they have bullied anyone else in the past.

What is Project Based Learning? In students work on a project over an extended period of time – that engages them in solving a real-world problem or question. They demonstrate their knowledge and skills by creating a public product or presentation. https://t.co/OBJZBsHdBK

Students in Y8 worked in groups to research a worldview / religion, applying a sociological approach. They produced a website, a photo-story and interviewed a believer. Take a look! https://t.co/ebeKYgKdeD

Just nine of the many reasons to join Merstham Park School

There are many good reasons to join us and you can find more at our open events in September and October.

Passion

We want to ignite the spark of learning in all our students which will see them through their education journey

Expectation

Our expectations are high as are our standards and we aim for the highest level for our students, whatever their abilities and background

Culture

The ethos of our school is one of achievement and encouragement where everyone feels valued and celebrated

Specialist

We teach a thematic-led curriculum to explore concepts and knowledge in its broadest sense

Tenacity

Our students will be equipped to pursue their dreams and ambitions to become successful citizens of the future

Outstanding

The resources and support we offer are second to none and both learners and teaching staff will benefit from new facilities

Listening

Students are regularly consulted and a student council holds regular meetings allowing them to help shape strategic decisions while developing their own skills

Free School

We are directly funded by government and therefore able to set our own financial priorities, free from local authority control

Difference

Everyone here will make a difference to the future life chances of our students and that mission is the bedrock of our school
