Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Jga

As Executive Headteacher, I am privileged to work closely with Mr Ward and his team of dedicated and talented staff who are highly driven in ensuring Merstham Park students thrive during their time with us as a result of igniting their passion for learning. Educating children is a significant responsibility and we are absolutely committed to providing all students with an outstanding educational experience so that they are fully prepared for the challenges of the modern world; where excellent examination results are achieved within a structure that supports the development of highly aspirational and confident young adults, comfortable of their place within society and the positive contribution they can make to it.

At MPS we put learning at the heart of all we do, both in and out of the classroom, with every experience underpinned by the school’s five core values of inclusion, collaboration, resilience, respect and success. Students here are provided with the opportunity to flourish and to fulfil their academic, social and personal potential within a calm, happy and purposeful school environment based on a culture of high expectations. Central to this is our partnership with parents and carers which we know is crucial in helping students achieve more than they thought possible. We firmly believe that every child should and can excel whilst in our care.

The school is undoubtedly on an exciting journey since its inception in 2018 and we are particularly looking forward to the development of the new build; the school community deserve to work and learn within a modern, state of the art permanent building of which we will all be extremely proud.

I look forward to welcoming you to the school

Mr Jeremy Garner, Executive Headteacher
