Essential Equipment

Stationery

Students should have all of the following equipment with them
every day:

  • A sturdy school bag, large enough to keep A4 exercise books flat
  • A reading book
  • A transparent plastic Pencil Case
  • Non-shatter ruler
  • A pencil sharpener and eraser
  • Box of 12 coloured pencils
  • A compass and protractor
  • A glue stick
  • 3 lead pencils (B, HB, 2H)
  • Berol - handwriting pens black and blue
  • A scientific calculator – Casio FX83/85
  • A couple of card or plastic wallets (or similar) for protecting items of homework (Optional)
  • A small, sturdy bottle for water (there are several water fountains on site.)
  • Ballpoint pen (pink and green)

Please note

Year 7 students are taught Mathematics several periods a week. For each lesson, in addition to the usual writing equipment, they will need to bring a ruler, a protractor, a pair of compasses and a scientific calculator. We recommend a scientific calculator, the Casio FX83GT+, which will be suitable for use throughout their time at the school.

USB

Every child will be provided with a memory stick. It is the child's responsibility to keep the USB safe. A replacement USB will cost £3.00.
