Success at District Sports 2022

District Sports 2022

On Thursday 12 May 2022, 16 local secondary schools gathered together at K2 in Crawley for the annual District Sports Event - the first one since 2019.

The standard was extremely high and the team from MPS, under the leadership of Mr Geraghty and Mrs Smith, competed incredibly well and gave 100% throughout the day.  

Notable successes came from Luke W, who came 1st in the Discus; Joe M who came 2nd in the 100m and the 200m; Emma C who came 2nd in the 300m; Kassia P who came 5th in the shotput and 8th in the discus; Isabel C who came 4th in the hurdles; the Year 10 relay team who came 7th in the 4 x 100m; Rhyley C who came 7th in the 200m: and Armandas G who came 2nd in the high jump. 

Congratulations to everyone who took part and many thank to the teachers who made it all happen: Mr Geraghty, Mrs Smith, Miss Vagg and Miss Townsend.  MPS is proud of you all.
