When the BBC visited MPS!

Exciting day at MPS today........the BBC have been in school filming some footage to be aired on the news on Wednesday regarding the fantastic work Business2Schools are doing

Thank you so much to Emily in year 7 who made these fabulous chocolate puddings for staff. Very thoughtful of you

Pleased to hear you liked it!

There should be a size guide on the order form. Yes, we would say they are true to size. Thanks

Many thanks for your positive feedback and comments, it means a lot. The staff are working extremely hard to support our students during this challenging time

Amazing work Iona, well done

Reminder that we have a virtual INSET day for staff today. Therefore, live daily learning mentor time and work posted in Google Classroom will resume tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you all then

Excellent work has been produced by our Y7 geographers for their Humanities ITP. Well done to these students for superb attention to detail and use of key terms and concepts !

Great to see students engaging with our weekly challenges. Here is the cover of a lovely illustrated card sent to residents at Coppice Lea Care Home and the cheese & chive scones look delicious! Well done!

Fantastic VE Day poem from Iona, well done!

Something we have been working on to bring a smile to your face in between creating pre recorded lessons, issuing feedback, supporting students and running daily live learning mentor time sessions. Enjoy!

before posting it to the care home. As always, we would love to see any photos of your child attempting the weekly challenge, or any other creative task they are proud to have undertaken, on our official school twitter account. Please tag when posting on twitter.

Ideas of what to include in the card or letter could be writing about your experience of COVID-19, your plans for the future, books or TV shows you enjoy, and tips on passing the time. Once completed students should simply sign off with their name and ‘from Merstham Park’

This week's challenge is a community focused challenge. As many of you will know, as a community school, we work with the Coppice Lea care home to enrich the lives of their residents through the Arts.Your child should create a card or letter to send to a resident at the care home

Great work Bailey, very creative!

Admissions 2020-2021

Welcome to Merstham Park School.

Usually at this time of year, we contact our new students and their parents to let them know about the exciting induction process we offer at Merstham Park.  Ordinarily we would be inviting you to a curriculum evening in May which would tell you more about the subjects you will be enjoying in Year 7; we would be inviting you all to a Welcome Pic-Nic at the end of June where you would meet the other students in your class, with their parents; wewould be letting you know about the uniform fitting dates; and we would be giving you information about our Transition Day, due to take place on Tuesday 30 June.

However, this is not a normal year for anybody and unfortunately our induction plans are currently on hold.  When the situation changes, we will be in touch with an updated plan to ensure that your child’s transition from primary to secondary school is as smooth as possible.

In the meantime, please do explore our website and if you have any questions, please contact the school on or call us on 01737 919491.

Our admissions arrangements for 2020/21 can be found here.

Please stay safe. We look forward to seeing you soon.
